All You Need Is 1 mic?

So... this is my first attempt at sketching freehand with Illustrator. I was intent on trying to figure out something else entirely with color and file conversions... and then this happened. Whoops! Enjoy! Peace.

So I have this SUPER young, yet SUPER talented niece. Already having her eyes set on her goal before age 7, she is dubbed "The Next Pixar/Nickelodeon Artist." Project: Rooftop  by Dean Trippe I've always been a HUGE fan of Project: Rooftop since I came across Spoiler Alert: It's A Stephanie Brown Special (almost exactly 3 years ago!). It's through this amazing site that I was first exposed to the likes of such amazing fashion and design-conscious artists/illustrators as Dean Trippe , Joel Carroll , and Joe Quinones among others... all of whom I continue to be an epic fan. So it's a tremendous honor to join the ranks of the talent featured on the site, first with Fan-Art Friday: Metamorpho  and, now, the Captain America: Fighting Styles contest. Chris Bachalo's work from CURSE OF THE MUTANTS: STORM + GAMBIT made me wanna see how I'd draw Storm in her more widely used current costume. I took a couple liberties in terms of detailing and I came up with this take that I'm most happy with. Enjoy! Peace.

Gail Simone issued a random and fun challenge. Draw Batman with your non-dominant hand in 10 minutes. I'm a lefty, so I drew Bats with my right hand. I'm absolutely shocked my sketch didn't end up being total crap. lol! Peace.

It just recently occurred to me that I never drew Two-Face, aka Harvey Dent, ever. I had to redeem myself. Here's a quickie! Peace.

Well, okay, I started it at the airport before I flew back to The City from SDCC, but remembered to finish it just last night. hahah By request... it's Helena Bertinelli, aka Huntress! One of the realest heroines in the DCU. I used mostly Cully Hamner's design w/ a dash of Jim Lee's. I love both artists' take. Passionately. Peace.

This is my Nubia redesign. When I found out about her last year, I was very intrigued. I tried to incorporate the different elements I liked in her incarnations over the decades. I gave her a sort of Wonder Woman 1.0 look, if, say, Diana was a 3.0. I made her armor call back to her Pre-Crisis uniform while infusing it with the lion avatar she was known to rock Post-Crisis. I ran with the idea that her eyes turn lion-ish when she uses her gorgon stare, the use of which, I reimagine, to be extremely limited, similar to how Black Canary uses her "Canary Cry" as a last resort. Also, the stare would be way powered down to just affect its victims temporarily. Mang... I could go all day with the possibilities for a Nubia comeback. Make it so, DC! She needs to hang out with Donna. Peace.

I don't mind the new Jim Lee WW redesign @ all. I just jumped on the redesign bandwagon that everyone else set off solely for fun. Enjoy! Peace.

In a non-Bizarro World, Gail Simone woulda had her own team book by now and Ryan Choi, The All-New (and far more superior) Atom, would still be alive and well. This is how I think a DoMA comic book team would look like. SENSATION COMICS perhaps? Peace.
