Gotham Girls

Here's my illo of Black Bat & Spoiler looking for a new home in the DC Animated Universe, since... y'know... they're not welcome in the New 52. Yeah... this piece comes off as a bit jaded. This was done in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Batman: The Animated Series over at The Line It Is Drawn . The DCAU rules my universe. I used the Spoiler redesign by Dean Trippe because I love it to this day. It's what drew me to Project: Rooftop . Check out his thoughtful redesign HERE . I made some adjustments to the designs of the other characters entertaining how their look woulda evolved if the Timmverse kept going. Fun! Peace.

THAT is The Question

A brand new The Line It Is Drawn is up over at Comics Should Be Good! The theme for the week is comic book characters mashed up with board games. I chose this  particular suggestion because it gave me a chance to draw two of my favorite characters that happen to share the same heroic identity and legacy. Guess Who? Find out HERE . Hope y'all digs! Peace.

I Was Literally Breathless

Sup, friends? How have you been? I'm back! I got really sick this week so I couldn't submit for the current installment of The Line It Is Drawn over at Comics Should Be Good ( THE best comic book blog site, in case you didn't know), but I couldn't leave the faithful and loyal readers hangin' with their record-breaking 120(!) suggestions for the week. And what a week it is! The theme? Music album cover homages. The art? AMAZING. So, please... I implore you to check out the greatness that The Line Artists cooked up HERE . So so fresh, right?? Let 'em know! I couldn't miss out on the fun despite my pitiful state, so I attacked my illo with the juice I had left in reserve. Peep what I came up with HERE . As always, thanks so much to Sir Brian Cronin and CSBG for featuring my piece! I hope you all enjoy it! Peace.

Gotham City Love

Here we go! This week's The Line It Is Drawn is up over at Comics Should Be Good ! Topic of the week is comic book cover homages! I didn't hesitate to choose the Astonishing X-Men 6 cover, but with The Question and Batwoman. I love these characters so much, I had to represent for them. What I did hesitate with was to put the trade dress on. hahah No more! Here, I present the image with its logos and such. Check out the undressed version  HERE and show some love for the artists who knocked it outta the park with their pieces. Better and better!! Peace.

The Question Changes

Happy New Year! I gotta set 2011 off right with one of my all-time favorite characters, Renee Montoya... aka The Question. Thank goodness for Greg Rucka and Cully Hamner championing her. She's now officially the sharpest-looking hero I know. Hope y'all digs! As an extra... check out my simple transformation animation. You gotta have  Adobe Flash Player installed, though, to see it. Boo-ya! Peace.
