Alternative Press Expo 2014

It's been a long time coming... so come check out my first convention appearance behind a table!

Alternative Press Expo (APE)
October 4-5, 2014
Festival Pavilion @ Fort Mason Center
2 Marina Blvd.
San Francisco, CA 94123
Table 606B

I'll have several con-exclusive prints for sale! I'm still narrowing down which I'll go with so please feel free to offer suggestions on which of my illustrations you'd be interested in purchasing.

I'll show off pages from my forthcoming self-published comic anthology entitled TATLO. I'm arting, writing, lettering, designing... doing it all solo on this one so it's taking some time to finish.

I'm also opening myself up for pre-show commissions with discounted Traditional prices for APE attendees who'll be able to pick up during the event!

Traditional 1
One character $40

Traditional 2
Two characters $75

Email me at micQuestion at micQuestion dot com for more details and/or to get on my list. If I don't reply within a day, please leave a comment below.

I'm not planning on doing any commissions during the show for this one, so I can focus on interacting with visitors. Depending on demand, though, and how quiet it may be for me, I might do one or two impromptu commissions so don't hesitate to ask if I have a secret ninja menu!

Looking forward to meet you in person! Thanks always for the love and support!

The Line It Is Drawn 200

So I used to be a part of this feature on one of Comic Book Resources' blogs called Comics Should Be Good! Here is a late and unused submission to celebrate its 200th installment.

The topic was to make up a "Super Team" consisting of one Marvel character, one DC character, one character from an independent comic book company, and two characters from any other form of fiction (novels, movies, etc.). I went with my own suggestion to also celebrate a handful of young characters whom I most enjoyed reading and watching at the time of creating the piece, and they are:

1) Gabe Reyes as a Ghost Rider (All-New Ghost Rider by Felipe Smith & Tradd Moore)

2) Milagro Reyes as a Green Lantern (Blue Beetle by John Rogers, Keith Giffen, Cully Hamner & Rafael Albuquerque)

3) Atari (Malinky Robot by Sonny Liew)

4) Oliver (Malinky Robot by Sonny Liew)

And yup! They're drawing each other. Hope y'all dig this piece! I enjoyed drawing it!

Until next time, read these characters' books and watch Jinora's animated adventures! HIGHLY recommended!

Casshhh…andra Cain

I drew this back when everyone else was drawing Babs in her new duds. Which sword do you prefer? Kryptonite or Red Sun?

Science Bangstick Ride

Gail Simone envisions Barbara Gordon and Ryan Choi as a college couple in the New52. It’s now officially headcanon and this is how their reunion goes down in my mind.

Take that, take that!

This version features alternate colors from what I ultimately went with HERE.

Check out my commission details HERE or click on the "Commissions" tab above.

Impromptu Atom

OK... it's around that time again when I can't decide between rough redesigns! Bad for me, but might be good for you if you enjoy helping me choose between these things.

These are about a few steps removed from a resolved redesign, but choosing between these at this stage will greatly help me to finalize the look.

I'm definitely keeping the tech goggles, but it'll mostly be resting on his forehead or neck, much like Rhonda's did, when not in combat or exploratory situations. So which one do you like best for my boy, Ryan Choi? Left or right?
