Good Head: Vixen

Here's DC's Halle Berry and, incidentally, one of my favorite DC characters... Mari Jiwe McCabe! Peace.

Justice League Water Ski Show

Happy 4th of July, y'all! To celebrate, here's a variant of the Justice League Water Ski Show illustration that I drew for The Line It Is Drawn 145: How Do Superheroes Spend Their Summer Vacation? Here's the Pride version... Here's the 4th of July variant... It's more patriotic and less Crisis-y. Figured I'd cut the Justice League a real break this time. ;) I always wanted to draw my take on the Sea World Superheroes Water Ski Show. (Yup! It was a real thing!) Thanks to TLIID and suggestion-giver Bill Granderson , I finally got a chance to! For more on the history of the Sea World Superheroes Water Ski Show, check out author Marc Tyler Nobleman's wonderful and extensive research HERE . He also kindly wrote about my piece, which you can see HERE . Many thanks, Marc! Have fun and be safe, one and all! Peace.

The Lady Fox & The Ghost Who Walks

Halle Burrehhhh... Halle Berry... Here's the latest The Line It Is Drawn over at Comics Should Be Good! I was actually about to begin doing a Vixen redesign right before I came across the suggestion that included her so I leapt at the chance. Serendipity! Although, I decided to just do simple and minor nip/tucks of her previous costume to keep her intuitive. Not really feeling how generic her New 52 design looks. Also, the Phantom was one of my most favorite characters when I was a young buck watching Defenders of The Earth so it was very cool to get to draw him again after decades! Check out my illo  HERE . Hope y'all digs! Peace.

Takin' It Back

It's that time again! You can get your weekly dose of The Line It Is Drawn right now over at Comics Should Be Good ! Check it out HERE . This week, it's all about modern superheroes meeting their first appearance selves. Ha! Fun. I went with my favorite Green Lantern with a few special guests since I've been back on the Justice League  animated series trip as of late. Although, honestly, I don't think I ever got off. But that's what she said for another time. Love me some Vixen & Hawkgirl. Enjoy! Peace.

What Y'all Know About A...?

Supermodel! If it ain't obvious yet, you gotta know... I loves me some Mari Jiwe McCabe. Peace.

Good News, Everyone!

My illustration is up in the first Reader Art Gallery for The Line It Is Drawn feature over at Comics Should Be Good , a terrific blog from Comic Book Resources . I chose the first topic/challenge, which asks... What would be your dream crossover between characters from two different comic book companies (that hasn’t already taken place, that is)? My answer?  Marvel's  Storm  & DC's  Vixen . High-adventure with high-fashion across America to/from Africa. Check it and the fantastic pieces from other artists out HERE ! Peace.

I Better Populate This Place!

In a non-Bizarro World, Gail Simone woulda had her own team book by now and Ryan Choi, The All-New (and far more superior) Atom, would still be alive and well. This is how I think a DoMA comic book team would look like. SENSATION COMICS perhaps? Peace.
