Hmmm... here's my first quickie sketch on Corel Painter Sketch Pad. It's not as powerful overall, but the brushes are way easier to control here than on Photoshop. I just might use this software more often right along with Photoshop. Peace.
The latest installment of The Line It Is Drawn is up over at Comics Should Be Good ! This week, it's comic book characters and Star Trek mix-up/mash-up. I chose to pay tribute to the first ladies of Star Trek and the All-New, All-Different X-Men. Too good to pass up! Check out my piece and those of the amazing Good Artists HERE . Seriously, it seems to get better and better each week. Thanks for the inspired suggestions! Please keep sending them our way. Peace.
It's that time again! This week, The Line It Is Drawn over at Comics Should Be Good is serving mash-ups of comic book characters and post-2006 movies. I had to honor the great John Cho and Kal Penn with my choice. Threw in a few very special guest stars, as well. Check out my piece and those of "The Good Artists" HERE . For next week, it's all about the Trekkies! Got suggestions for comic book character and STAR TREK team-up/mash-up drawings you might wanna see us get down with? Please follow CSBG over at Twitter HERE and hit them up with an @ mention/reply to share your brilliant idea(s) with us! Thanks! Peace.
"Iz Feenix!" My first spotlight post as a fill-in artist for The Line It Is Drawn is up over at Comics Should Be Good ! The topic of the week was "comic book character/animal mash-ups." I decided to contribute to the MRVLCATS effort and chose "X-Men as kittens." Check out what I cooked up HERE . And check out the main artists' amazing pieces HERE . That is, if you like being happy and don't mind making your face smile. Enjoy! Peace.
To celebrate the long-awaited release of The Green Hornet film, check out my illustration of Kato teaming up with Amadeus Cho HERE from December 2010's Reader Art Gallery over at Comics Should Be Good ! That was a mouthful! I chose the topic of teaming-up two halves of two famous partnerships. I couldn't resist pairing up The Green Hornet's partner and Hercules' buddy. I hope Jay Chou does Bruce Lee's memory justice! He has very big shoes to fill. No pressure! Peace.
The Line It Is Drawn feature over at Comics Should Be Good kicks off 2011 with resolutions of hoots and hollers! What a great bunch of readers, suggestion-givers, and artists (minus me, of course)! Don't let me stop you from checking out our pieces, though! Enjoy HERE . Peace.
Happy New Year! I gotta set 2011 off right with one of my all-time favorite characters, Renee Montoya... aka The Question. Thank goodness for Greg Rucka and Cully Hamner championing her. She's now officially the sharpest-looking hero I know. Hope y'all digs! As an extra... check out my simple transformation animation. You gotta have Adobe Flash Player installed, though, to see it. Boo-ya! Peace.
