Justice League Water Ski Show

Happy 4th of July, y'all!

To celebrate, here's a variant of the Justice League Water Ski Show illustration that I drew for The Line It Is Drawn 145: How Do Superheroes Spend Their Summer Vacation?

Here's the Pride version...

Here's the 4th of July variant...

It's more patriotic and less Crisis-y. Figured I'd cut the Justice League a real break this time. ;) I always wanted to draw my take on the Sea World Superheroes Water Ski Show. (Yup! It was a real thing!) Thanks to TLIID and suggestion-giver Bill Granderson, I finally got a chance to!

For more on the history of the Sea World Superheroes Water Ski Show, check out author Marc Tyler Nobleman's wonderful and extensive research HERE. He also kindly wrote about my piece, which you can see HERE. Many thanks, Marc!

Have fun and be safe, one and all!

Peace.

Help Her Win

Hello from the future-present! This was originally intended to be a xeet/tweet with a very specific target audience, but it quickly erupted into something I couldn't contain in such a limited number of characters. Cutting right to the chase.

Dream A Little Dream

DC Relaunch for you! DC Relaunch for you! Everybody gets a Relaunch! Oh, I wish. And I'm not alone. This week for the The Line It Is Drawn over at Comics Should Be Good , we're celebrating DC's exciting September Relaunch! And we're doing it by having made first issue covers of DC-based titles re/imagined by our faithful readers and art appreciators. Naturally, I chose one of my dream gigs and teamed it with one of the best and, incidentally, one of the coolest writers in comics, Gail Simone . Check out my piece and those of The Line giants  HERE . Thank goodness a guy can still dream. Long Live Ryan Choi! (Here's one of my early chicken-scratch roughs for the redesign....) Peace.
